Bihar Lok Sabha election 2024 Phase 5
The Lok Sabha elections 2024 are now towards their final stop. Polling for the fifth phase will be held on Monday, May 20. In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes will be cast for 49 seats in 8 states. Certainly, in this phase, the credibility of many veteran leaders of all parties including BJP, Congress, BSP is at stake. Call it a VIP election and there will be no wrong. Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal, Anurag Singh Thakur, Kapil Patel, Smriti Irani, Rahul Gandhi, Vikramaditya Singh, Kangana Ranaut and Sadhvi Niranjan.
In the fifth phase, many big ministers of BJP, Congress veterans and big leaders of all regional parties are trying their political luck.
Bihar’s VIP seat
In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes will be cast for 5 seats of Bihar. These include Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur and Saran Lok Sabha seats. All these seats are very important in Bihar.
RJD’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy is pitted against RJD candidate Rohini Acharya from Saran Lok Sabha seat. Rajiv Pratap Rudy has been elected MP twice from here. Rajiv Pratap Rudy defeated Rabri Devi and Chandrika Rai, daughter-in-law of Lalu Yadav. Lalu Prasad Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal has also won the Saran seat four times. Rohini Acharya is a doctor by profession and she donated her kidney to her father.
Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency
Chirag Paswan, son of Ram Vilas Paswan, is contesting from Hajipur Lok Sabha seat in Bihar. Chirag is getting the support of the NDA. He is pitted against RJD’s Shiv Charan Ram. Hajipur seat has been the traditional seat of Ram Vilas Paswan. Former Union Minister and LJP-Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan made a record by winning 8 times from here. In 2019, Ram Vilas’ brother Pashupati Paras became MP from this seat. Chirag Paswan became MP by winning from Jamui seat in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha constituency
The BJP has fielded Ram Bhushan Nishad from the Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat by cutting the ticket of sitting MP Ajay Nishad. Ajay Nishad, who was denied a ticket, left the BJP and joined the Congress and is contesting on a Congress ticket. Ajay Nishad has won the election twice consecutively.
Sitamarhi Lok Sabha constituency
In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes will also be cast in Sitamarhi seat of Bihar. There are 14 candidates in the fray for this seat. But the main contest is between the National Democratic Alliance-NDA and the India Coalition. Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Devesh Chandra Thakur is contesting on a Janata Dal-U ticket. He is contesting against Arjun Rai of RJD. At present, JDU’s Sunil Kumar Pintu is the MP from here.
Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency
The BJP has re-nominated sitting MP Ashok Yadav from Madhubani Lok Sabha seat in Bihar. He is pitted against RJD’s Mohammad Fatmi.
