India vs Sri Lanka (IND vs SL) WC Match Highlights:
IND vs SL : In the 33rd match of the World Cup 2023, India defeated Sri Lanka by 302 runs. India won its seventh consecutive match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and became the first team to make it to the semi-finals. After losing the toss and batting first, India scored 357 runs. In response, the Sri Lankan team was reduced to 55 runs.

India has defeated Sri Lanka by 302 runs. Team India remains invincible in this World Cup.
India has secured a place in the semi-finals by winning its seventh consecutive match with 14 points. India has become the first team to reach the semi-finals.
India has once again achieved a one-sided victory against Sri Lanka. Earlier in the Asia Cup semi-finals, India had won easily by bowling out Sri Lanka for 50 runs.
In this match, India batted first and scored 357 runs losing eight wickets in 50 overs. Shubhman Gill played the highest innings of 92 runs.
Whereas, Virat Kohli scored 88 runs and Shreyas Iyer scored 82 runs.
Dilshan Madushanka took five wickets for Sri Lanka. In response, the Sri Lankan team could score only 55 runs. Kasun Rajita scored the maximum 14 runs. Apart from them, Mahish Tikshina and Angelo Mathews scored 12 runs each. Five Sri Lankan batsmen were out on the score of zero.
At the same time, eight batsmen could not reach double figures.
Mohammed Shami took five wickets for India. Mohammed Siraj took three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.
India’s innings
The Indian team had a bad start. Captain Rohit Sharma was clean-bowled by Dilshan Madushanka on the very second ball of the innings. He could score four runs. After this, Virat Kohli made a partnership of 189 runs with Shubman Gill for the second wicket. Madushanka broke this partnership. He got Shubman caught by wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis in the nervous 90. Shubman was out after scoring 92 runs in 92 balls. In his innings, he hit 11 fours and two sixes.
After this Virat also missed a century. Madushanka got him caught by Nissanka.
Virat played an innings of 88 runs in 94 balls with the help of 11 fours. After this, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul made a brilliant partnership of 60 runs in 46 balls. Rahul was out after scoring 21 runs in 19 balls. Dushmantha Chameera dismissed him. Suryakumar Yadav could not do anything special. He was out after scoring 12 runs in nine balls.
He was out after scoring 82 runs in 56 balls with the help of three fours and six sixes. Mohammed Shami was out after scoring two runs.
At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja played an inning of 35 runs in 24 balls with the help of one four and one six. Jadeja was run out on the last ball of the Indian innings. For Sri Lanka, Madushanka took five wickets, while Chameera got one wicket.
Sri lankan innings
Sri Lanka’s innings was never on track. While chasing the target of 358 runs, Sri Lanka lost Pathum Nissanka in the very first ball.
Bumrah trapped him in front of the wickets. After this, Siraj dismissed Dimuth Karunaratne and Sadira Samarawickrama in the next over. Captain Mendis also became Siraj’s victim by scoring one run. With four wickets falling for three runs, Mathews and Asalanka tried to bring Sri Lanka back into the match. Both of them stopped the fall of wickets for some time, but as soon as Shami arrived, there was a flurry of wickets again.
Shami took the next five wickets and took India to the threshold of victory. In the end, Jadeja ended Sri Lanka’s innings by dismissing Madushanka.
